To upload initail master records in MDM we are using MDM_CLNT_EXTR.It is creating IDOC . Each segment of the idoc has a filed MSGFN. I want to know what is this & what is the use of it

CLFMAS overwrite existing class data
I Use the CLFMAS IDOC to update class data in SAP. I maintain the data in MDM and uses and IDOC CLFMAS to post the new data in SAP. My problem is that "old class data is lost". I have tried to change the MSGFN to different values, but I still get the same problem.
Do anyone have an idea how to solve this?

TREX 7.1 revision 60 installation
Hi All,
I have an issue installing TREX revision 60.
I have c,e,f drives ( on "e" drive ECC system exist , f drive TREX software stored)
can we install TREX when ECC is up and running, is it possible to have TREX on SAP server.

MDM Registration in SLD
Hello All,
I need to register MDM system in my PI 7.1 SLD, so i need to know, i should be doing this by adding as Standalong system type option or can i also do it with SLDREG?
I did read a note # 1018839 regarding SLDREG and as per it.."The "receiving" SLD must be at least Release 7.0. If an old SLD (for example, Release 6.40) receives an "sldreg" data package, it writes the
following error to the SLD log: ERROR". So i think this also applies for MDM system?
So can anybody please advice..how exactly should i be doing this?

Urgent: MDM SP11 Vs SP12
Hello experts,
We have recently moved to MDM SP11.
However we heard that SP11 gives lots of problems so ppl move to SP12 Instead.
I need to justify why we need to move to sp12 now, Does anyone know/faced any issues with SP11 and that it is fixed and working fine in SP12.
I have refered Help documentation , which states whats in the release.
But what im looking for are the limitations of SP11 and thereby moving to SP12 solved them.
Please let me know your views.

CREMAS IDOC status 51.
Hi Masters.
I am Working with scenarie MDM--PI--MM Master data Vendors,
ON ECC 6.0 has a two idocs serialized ADRMAS and CREMAS both with status 75
an JOB is execute with next programs RSEINBQUEUE_PARTNER and RSEINBQUEUE so ARDMAS finished ok status 53 but CREMAS finished with status 51
SAPMF02K 0111 ADDR1_DATA-REGION the data is region but in CREMAS is it '/' because these data comes in ADRMAS
do you think is neccesary active an Badi ?
I before reviewed the note 1052964 and I did not find something different.

Workflow getting triggered when added/replace in Mask
Hi Experts,
We are using MDM 7.1 SP09 and we are facing an issue of workflow getting triggered when records are added or replaced in Mask..
ie whenever i am adding or replacing some records in mask workflow is triggered for most of the records ....IF i check the Workflow tab it will show all the steps maintained for that particular Workflow adn then gets deleted automatically...and strange thing is it is happening to a single user id/role and for other role this does not happen
Can anyone please help me sorting out this issue..

Inbound Port Status is "Has Exception"
Hello SAP experts,
We are experiencing an issue regarding the automated import of data from another system to MDM.
The file is located in the Ready folder. But the status of the port is Has Exception
The processing type is set to Automatic and the Block on Structural Exceptions is set to No in MDM console.
We are trying to import a file in Delimited Text format
Please advise on how to proceed. Thanks!

what is the current SAP MDM version & s pack ? (latest) and the upcomming new versions ? Is it SAP MDM 7.3 ?
what else new will features are being added...... any idea?

I am currently working on MDM 7.1, but wanted to know which service pack I am working on........ where exaclty I can I see this information.(I mean where can I see the version, service pack, patch and other details)
In the console->help , I have seen the version , and [7.1.00.75], does this mean something ? pls exp.

MDM Webservice is not working in CE 7.3 portal
Hi,
I have created MDM webservice and deployed on CE portal .I have created one destination on type MDM connection .
I went to WS navigator and executed WS and provided the detination details . But I end up with the below error. Did any one face this issue before?????
connection_3005-Cannot connect with MDM using destination XXXXXXXXXXX; caused by: Could not find destination service. Ensure that: (1) destination service exists in your application server, (2) your application has dependency on the destination service

What is the best Practice to improve MDIS performance in setting up file aggregation and chunk size
Hello Experts,
in our project we have planned to do some parameter change to improve the MDIS performance and want to know the best practice in setting up file aggregation and chunk size when we importing large numbers of small files(one file contains one record and each file size would be 2 to 3KB) through automatic import process,
below is the current setting in production:-
Chunk Size=2000
No. Of Chunks Processed In Parallel=40
file aggregation-5
Records Per Minute processed-37
and we made the below setting in Development system:-
Chunk Size=70000
No. Of Chunks Processed In Parallel=40
file aggregation-25
Records Per Minute processed-111
after making the above changes import process improved but we want to get expert opinion making these changes in production because there is huge number different between what is there in prod and what change we made in Dev.

Portal Administrator password locked
Can anyone help me with instructions on how to unlock the administrator password? When i try to log into our netweaver portal to add some new portal users, i'm getting the message 'password locked' for the admin user. Since we only have one administrator account, how do i get in there to unlock the password?
