MDM Java API feasibility for mass data import

Hi Experts,

Could you share inputs on how feasible will MDM 7.1 Java APIs will be for import of data of the order of 5000 in MDM.

This is required due to architectural limitation of 3rd party solution which integrates with MDM.

What I am looking at is automated data import of above order with no/minimal manual intervention.
